Walmart’s commitment to sustainability spans the globe, so it’s always exciting to see how that work is translating into other important milestones and connections for our stores around the world. Recently Walmart de Mexico y Centroamerica was included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Emerging Markets Index, which tracks the top 10 percent of the 800 largest emerging markets companies in the Dow Jones Global Total Stock Market Index that lead the field in terms of sustainability. In fact, Walmart was the only company in Mexico to be selected. The index is a tool for investors to measure the top companies that are considered to be leaders in corporate sustainability.
