Urban farming nourishes people and communities

Meet Will Allen, the CEO of Growing Power, a national nonprofit helping provide equal access to healthy, high-quality, safe and affordable food for people in all communities.  In support of their mission, Walmart and the Walmart Foundation provided Growing Power with a $1.1 million grant.

As Will says, “if people can grow safe, healthy, affordable food, if they have access to land and clean water, this is transformative on every level in a community.  I believe we cannot have healthy communities without a healthy food system.”
