Walmart Green's Win it Wednesday Contest

We’re thrilled about the launch of Mother Nature Network’s The Leaderboard, which is designed to celebrate innovators and visionaries who are improving our world. Now is your chance to share your great ideas for making an environmentally inspired difference in your own life.

To encourage and spread green tips, we’ve teamed up with the environmental news site again to bring The Leaderboard to Twitter. Beginning tomorrow, February 6, we will kick off a series of monthly #WinItWednesday Twitter contests. Winners will have a chance to have their ideas featured in the Walmart channel on The Leaderboard and The Green Room, and they’ll also receive one of three $100 Walmart gift cards.

The rules are simple:

  • Follow @WalmartGreen for updates and details
  • Reply to our question with your eco-inspired submission in 140 characters or less tomorrow between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. CST
  • Include the #WinItWednesday hashtag in your tweet

Joel Babbit, CEO and co-founder of the Mother Nature Network, and Andrea Thomas, our senior vice president of sustainability, will help choose the winners, whose stories or sustainability tips will be considered for publication on The Leaderboard and The Green Room within the month.

Be sure to follow @WalmartGreen tomorrow, February 6 at 11 a.m. to learn the details of our first challenge. To learn more, you can read the complete rules and guidelines. Happy tweeting!
