Head of corporate affairs tells of Walmart’s commitment to environmental and social good

Leslie Dach, Healthy fresh food announcement

Leslie Dach, executive vice president of corporate affairs for Walmart, recently sat down with the Huffington Post to reflect on his tenure with Walmart after announcing that he would be resigning so he could spend more time with his family.

Since 2006, Leslie has led the way in helping Walmart institute its current sustainability and social responsibility initiatives – from becoming the leading generator of on-site solar in the U.S. to making healthier food more affordable and committing to offer jobs to veterans.

“I think, to me, the most noteworthy accomplishment is being able to show that a big business and particularly one that has a reputation for watching its pennies, can take on these large social issues in a big way and make a big difference, but also build a stronger business at the same time,” he tells the Huffington Post.
