Walmart executives, U.S. and Chinese government officials, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and Walmart associates are meeting this week in Beijing, China, where our company will announce strengthened and expanded commitments to our global sustainability supply chain. You may have noticed the signs for weeks — slightly shorter days, colder temperatures — but this past weekend made it official: goodbye summer and hello fall! As you might expect, it is more difficult to generate solar energy when the sunlight is less abundant, but the dozens of solar energy systems we installed this summer — including 14,000 new solar panels at our Buckeye, Ariz.
