Walmart to announce new sustainability commitments in China
Walmart executives, U.S. and Chinese government officials, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and Walmart associates are meeting this week in Beijing, China, where our company will announce strengthened and expanded commitments to our global sustainability supply chain. As you might expect, it is more difficult to generate solar energy when the sunlight is less abundant, but the dozens of solar energy systems we installed this summer — including 14,000 new solar panels at our Buckeye, Ariz.
