A cool idea in freezer efficiency

In 2005, we partnered with General Electric to create and install our first LED freezer case lights at a Walmart in McKinney, Texas. They used 70 percent less energy and generated significantly less heat, which is important in a refrigerator. Seven years later, LED freezer case lighting is the standard in all new Walmart facilities around the globe and is becoming the industry norm for refrigerated food cases.  Continue reading
